Campus Life

The Waring Historical Library holds thousands of images relating to the Medical University and the history of medicine in South Carolina. Photographs portray faculty, staff and students as well as buildings and campus events. Image formats are primarily prints and negatives.

The MUSC University Archives maintains an extensive, but not complete, collection of class photographs. If you have images from any of our missing years, please contact the University Archivist.

Images in the Buildings & Facilities Photographs series document the growth of the Medical University campus since its establishment in 1824.

Images in the Faculty & Staff Photographs series portrays faculty and staff across the six colleges in a variety of settings including classrooms, hospitals clinics, and labs.

Healthcare

Images in the Healthcare Photographs series portray faculty, staff, students, and patients in clinical settings. Scenes include patient care, operating rooms, and laboratories.

Students

Images in the Student Photographs series portrays students across the six colleges in classrooms, clinics, labs, and library settings, as well as extracurricular activities such as sports, dances, and fraternal organizations.
