The Waring Historical Library

The Waring Historical Library hosts numerous programs and events to promote the history of the health sciences. Its "friends group," the Waring Library Society, sponsors these events, which include two public lectures, the Warren A. Sawyer lecture usually held in the fall, and the Joseph I. Waring, Jr. lecture usually held at the Annual Meeting in the spring. These events are open to the public and feature speakers who are prominent in their fields. The Society also sponsors the Student History Club. This student group meets monthly at noon for lunch and a brief informal talk on some aspect of the history of the health sciences. It is open to students in all six MUSC colleges. Other special events and programs take place throughout the year.

Visit Programs for more details about these programs and News and Upcoming Events for our events calendar and up-to-date information about forthcoming events.
