Individual Journal Titles

In addition to journal database apps and mobile-friendly websites, apps for individual journal titles may be available from the Play/App Store. Individual journal apps vary widely with regard to amount of free content available, interactivity and other features.

JAMA Network (mobile app)
Access to the past year of content from all 11 JAMA Network journals.
**To download: Go to JAMA Reader Network from library website. Sign into or create account.
* Must visit JAMA from library website every 90 days.

Journal Reading Apps

Read by QXMD (mobile app)
Keep up with the latest new research that will impact your practice, and access full-text library-subscribed articles. Search for papers, topics, or collections. Follow your favorite journals, create collections, and follow collections or keywords.
** To download: Download Read by QXMD from Play/App Store. Register for account. Go to Account Settings, and set up Institutional Access.

Below each abstract, it says, "Institutional Login Required. Tap Here for Options". Tap there and you will be prompted for your NetID and password. It should authenticate and allow you to download the PDF.

**To download: On the CINAHL homepage, click on “iPhone and Android Apps” at very bottom. Enter MUSC email. An authentication key will be emailed to you. Download EBSCOhost app from Play/App Store. From mobile device, access email and click on link found in email to authenticate the app. In the app, go to Settings and select only “CINAHL Plus with Full-Text”.

EBSCOhost includes many databases including Academic Search Premier, CINAHL, Criminal Justice Abstracts, ERIC, MEDLINE, PsycINFO and more, which can be searched individually or all at once.
