Ask the Question = Identify

The first step of the evidence-based practice (EBP) process is to Ask the Question. This aligns with the 'Identify' step in MUSC's IMPROVE roadmap. 

Problem/Opportunity Statement

A Problem Statement or Opportunity Statement will define your entire project from beginning to end. 

  • Problem Statement: for an existing process or service you want to improve or change.
  • Opportunity Statement: for when you want to create a new process or service.
