This guide provides an overview of MUSC's ebook collections and a comparison of their features.

About the collection

The MUSC Libraries offer four collections through LWW Health Library: Medical Education, Pharmacy, Occupational Therapy, and the Board Review Series. 

The Medical Education (Basic and Anatomical Sciences Collections) Collection includes a variety of e-books, video and audio materials, self assessment questions, cases, clinical skills resources, and more. Here you will find Bate's Guide to Physical Examination and History Taking, one of the most used e-books across all of the library's resources.

The Premium Pharmacy Collection provides e-books, video and audio materials, interactive journal club materials, self assessment questions, cases, and other resources.

The Occupational Therapy Collection includes e-books, video and audio materials, self assessment questions, cases, and supplemental content.

In the Board Review Series, you will find e-books and self assessment questions to help you systematically prepare for the USMLE Step 1. Each book has a test at at the end of each chapter, as well as a comprehensive exam at the end of the book. 

How to access

1) Go to the library homepage and click on one of the "A-Z databases" links. 

2) Click on the letter L and choose one of the LWW Health Library links.

3) Once in LWW, you are able to switch collections by clicking on the "More Collections" link (shown in the image below) at the top right of the page.

With a personal account, can print one chapter at a time.

Copy No limitations on copying text.
Save No built-in save function. Save as PDF from print screen. With a personal account, can bookmark chapters in a list of favorites.

 

Mobile access

LWW Health Library does not have a mobile app, but the site is mobile optimized.
