MUSC Library adds five new electrical power posts and four new Brody study chairs to the 3rd floor!

On Wednesday, June 27, the Library added five new electrical power posts to the 3rd floor in the open study area just outside the door to RMS and facing the horseshoe. Each power post has six electrical outlets, giving us a total of thirty new power outlets on the 3rd floor. It's very easy to position study tables around these power posts, making it possible for students to move away from the columns and into the center of the floor.

Four new Brody study chairs were also added to the 3rd floor of the Library. These chairs are self-contained, individual study units, with each chair having a privacy screen and a study desk attached to a swivel arm, making it easy to move the desk surface into a comfortable position for study. Each chair also contains a built-in power outlet and a USB port for charging devices. Two of the Brody chairs are in the same study area as the new power posts described above. Another two Brody chairs are at the other end of the floor in the open study area between group study rooms EL 320 and EL 321 near the stairs down to the 2nd floor. As seen in the photos below, our students are already enjoying these new additions to the Library.
