ITFR supports the instructional technology needs of faculty, staff, and students by implementing and maintaining instructional systems, maintaining classroom technology, and providing technical support for distance education classes and video conferencing. ITFR also assists faculty by providing resources that encourage new technological and pedagogical teaching strategies, foster collaborations across disciplinary and university boundaries, and promotes teamwork to be applied in collaborative, interprofessional health care delivery and research settings (IFTR).
Office of Research Development (ORD) operates under the Vice President for Research to support the needs of faculty. ORD identifies extramural funding opportunities and assists faculty members in preparing competitive proposals, with an emphasis on strategic research areas prioritized by the colleges and university administration as well as institutional research resources and infrastructure.
The Support Center for Clinical & Translational Science (SUCCESS) is the universally accessible, consolidated entry point for SCTR and other institutional research services, cores, and programs. SUCCESS support spans the entire research spectrum, from inception of ideas through technology transfer and dissemination of best practice models. Support services include: guidance, training, and resources for investigators and study teams at any point in the research process.
The Office of Research Integrity serves as the administrative unit for the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), the Institutional Review Board (IRB), the Research Integrity Committee (RIC) for scientific misconduct, and the Stem Cell Research Oversight (SCRO) committee.
