MUSC Value Institute: Evidence Briefs

Welcome

Evidence Briefs are tools developed by the Value Institute to facilitate evidence-based decision making. An Evidence Brief typically addresses a single clinical question, and is completed by request.

An Evidence Brief formally summarizes the best available evidence for a targeted clinical topic, but does not directly make a practice recommendation. The goal of an Evidence Brief is to infuse consistent, objective evidence into clinical and organizational discussions. Evidence Briefs can be used to inform the development or update of policies, procedures and protocols.
